Living in a three-room apartment with four other girls and lots of decorations provides a ton of interesting subject matter for my project. Since it’s all about close-ups, I’m going to shoot some colorful objects in the kitchen and also some of my jewelery - for the objects in the kitchen I’m planning on using slant and playing around with focus, which will entail shooting multiple objects and switching focus between them. I’m also planning on doing some longer view shots that play around with horizon and depth. The objects in the kitchen will mostly be shot in color, while the jewelery will be mostly in black and white so as to detract from the “pretty” nature of the subject and explore more of the shapes and textures without the distraction of beauty. As I will not be shooting things in nature, I will be manipulating some of the objects so that I can get a better close-up view, but I don’t plan on setting up a scene or anything of that nature.
